Harvest Thanks: Relief Printmaking on a Tote Bag

In this 3hr workshop participants will learn the basics of relief printmaking, from preparing your carving to setting up your inking station and printing. Found materials and a hand carved stamp will be used to create a whimsical tote bag that shows the abundance of the harvest this time of year. The cross sections of garlic, squash, apples and more will be used to relief print. Carving techniques and approaches will be discussed and participants will be guided through hand carving a stamp to include on their tote bag. We encourage you to bring a reference image or sketch for your carving to avoid the dreaded creative brain freeze moment and we will provide some veggie images for carving if needed.

Attendees must bring/provide:

- Apron or studio clothes
- Closed-toe shoes
- Ideas/sketches of what they'd like to print

Workshop Policies:

Payment is required to reserve your spot. 

Cancellation with 7 days notice : transfer to new date OR store credit. 

Cancellation with 3 days notice :

transfer to new date OR 50% store credit. 

Cancellation with less than 3 days: transfer to new date, no refund. 

Same day cancellation or no show : no transfers, no refund. 

Minimum sign up: 3 participants. In the event that we don't have enough people to run the workshop, you will be contacted with next steps.
